Our Project

Nærøy Kulturhistoriske Anlegg AS (NKA) is an established company with business activities to run a live museum theme park and doing so spread cultural history, knowledge and well-being. The company have been established since May, 2004.

NKA is a stock owned company that have among its owners the local district bank; two book publishers of history and art (one based in Cambridge, UK); a renowned professor in Archaeology; a prominent Norwegian historical novelist and several people with interest in ancient culture and history.

NKA has a partnership with the Njardar Viking Association. This partnership has helped build a successful merchant based in Nærøy fjord in Gudvangen. This has brought awareness towards our Viking village project. Georg Hansen, have experience of over 13 years of Viking markets, is one of the leaders of the Njardar Viking Association, stock owner and will be our main Viking chief in the project. He is a resident of Gudvagen. He will manage and maintaining business with customers and make sure we preserve authenticity and enthusiasm.
