Welcome to the Viking Valley of Gudvangen

Move back in time, walk the streets and alleys between reconstructed workshops, smell the fireplaces and tarcovered walls. After rowing a Viking ship, taste food made in iron and stone kettles, or the sweet old brews in your drinking horn.

Our Kaupang (merchant place) is based upon archeological evidence excavated in the Viking towns in early medieval Europe. All reconstructions are done under supervision of renown archeologists
